• Coping with fear

The last 3 months of living through a global pandemic have been stressful, overwhelming and quite frankly, pretty scary at times. These days I find myself praying more frequently and more urgently than ever before. Prayer is one way I cope with fear. I also talk to people who are close to me because talking out loud really helps me process difficult thoughts and feelings, and processing is comforting.

What about you? Have you felt worried or scared since the pandemic began? How do you usually cope with fear? Have your coping mechanisms changed during the pandemic?

The fear only came after the doctor looked my husband in the eye and said, “If you get the COVID-19, you will not survive.” Those were his exact words, and they were shocking, partly because he is not usually the type to speak idle words. Then he turned to me and said, “Be careful and do not allow people into your home.”
