A Change in Gait Could be an Early Sign of Parkinson’s Disease
Changes in gait and cognition precede a diagnosis of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease, and may occur earlier than typical non-motor symptoms, study finds. The study, “Prediagnostic markers of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease: Gait, visuospatial ability and executive function,” was published in Gait & Posture.
What were the early signs that you had Parkinson’s disease? Looking back, do you think you could’ve detected the disease earlier had you known more about what to look for?
