Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative neurological disease where the brain cells that make dopamine die. Dopamine is responsible for movement, so the lack of dopamine causes symptoms like motor control, cognitive and GI problems, along with depression and many others.

Cheesman was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease 13 years ago. He speaks candidly about how it affects his life, how his battle with the disease is becoming more difficult as time goes on and how each day brings about new challenges. He stresses the importance of ongoing research so better Parkinson’s treatments can be discovered and ultimately a cure that can eradicate the disease.
